PulseEdge ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PulseEdge newsletter service at pulseedge.org. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information you provide directly
- Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up.
- Preferences: Tickers, market categories, and delivery frequency you select.
- Password: Stored securely using industry-standard hashing — we never store it in plain text.
- Payment information: Billing details when you subscribe to a paid plan. Payment data is processed by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
Information collected automatically
- Email interaction data: Whether you open or click links in our emails, processed by our email provider.
- Log data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, retained for up to 30 days.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate and deliver your personalized market brief emails.
- To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
- To send transactional emails such as welcome messages, trial reminders, and account notifications.
- To improve the relevance and quality of your briefs.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate PulseEdge:
- Supabase — database and authentication. Your account data is stored in Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure.
- Resend — email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend solely to send your briefs and notifications.
- OpenAI — AI-generated brief content. Your watchlist and interests are sent to OpenAI's API to generate your personalized report. No personally identifiable information beyond market preferences is included.
- Finnhub — real-time market data used to populate your brief.
- Stripe — payment processing. We share only what is necessary to process your subscription.
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and data handling practices.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any brief, or by cancelling your account from the dashboard.
- Data portability — request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
PulseEdge is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of PulseEdge after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
